Wonderful lunch as a Christmas treat today for my wife and I. 4 courses of excellent food, so nicely prepared, popping flavours and fresh ingredients. Love the cheese soufflé! Our 3rd visit to Craig Millar. Service excellent as always and the location on a lovely clear day gives beautiful views out over the Firth of Forth. Love it.

We had a really lovely meal—the food was exquisite, and the wine pairing stood out as one of the best we’ve ever experienced. While the wines themselves may not have been the most premium, the flavour combinations with each course were absolutely spot on, elevating the entire dining experience. That said, the overall experience didn’t quite match the quality of the food and drink and I’m not sure we’d rush back. The service, while polite and attentive, felt overly formal and lacked warmth, which made it a bit impersonal. At times, we felt rushed, with servers hovering or asking to clear plates too soon. A request to delay the cheese course was met with a surprisingly rigid response, leaving us a little taken aback. The atmosphere also felt underwhelming, with dated decor, bright lighting and a somewhat forlorn Christmas tree that didn’t add to the charm. Perhaps visiting during summer to take advantage of the beautiful views would enhance the experience, as dining on a dark winters evening maybe didn’t showcase the setting at its best. If you visit, I’d recommend booking an earlier sitting to avoid feeling hurried and to fully savour the truly excellent food and wine (earlier than 8pm!).

Nice dining experience. Helpful and friendly staff. I don't eat a lot but was glad after a 4 course meal at £50 + to find an ice cream shop to top up my calories at Giddy Gannet. Shame really staff told me that halibut was a small proportion because it was expensive. Well yes, at £50 per head. Best head to Tailend in St Andrews for a taste of halibut. Sorry but the portion of fish was MEAN. I did say to staff but NO answer from kitchen. Shame really but view towards Bass Rock was nice.

Food delicious. Service very pleasant. Restaurant wasn't particularly busy but that could have been the time of year (January 2024) which affected the overall atmosphere. The music playing would stop for adverts - this really lessened the overall experience and should be reviewed. Duck dish, cheese soufflé and bramble parfait were a highlight. Would return if I was in the local area again.

We have found the standard of food here to be exceptional and the quality of service to match. Been 3 times this year, in small and larger groups and each time everyone has agreed the menu represents outstanding value for money. An exciting wine list as well. We can not wait to come back. Thank you to all the team for making the visits so enjoyable.

An exceptional dining experience combining mouthwatering food with breathtaking views and impeccable table arrangements. From the moment you step inside, you sense the quality and relaxing atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The standout feature of Craig Millar @16 West End is undoubtedly the food. However the stunning views are a very close second. Enjoy panoramic views of the North Sea while savoring your meal. The restaurant's large windows allow natural light to flood in during the day. It's the perfect backdrop for a romantic dinner or a special celebration. The arrangement of tables is thoughtfully done. Each table is spaced generously, ensuring privacy and comfort while still allowing you to enjoy the lively ambiance of the restaurant. Whether you're seated by the window or in the cozy interior, every seat offers a delightful dining experience. The food is nothing short of exquisite. The menu showcases a harmonious blend of locally sourced ingredients and innovative cooking techniques. I wouldn't usually get to excited about salmon but I 100% trusted the chef and they 110% delivered. The Craig Millar @16 West End is a must-visit restaurant. What a place!

A wonderful lunch - cozy surroundings watching Storm Agnes starting to get angry as the sea was breaking over the harbour walls! The food was sublime. The service excellent. The atmosphere relaxed. The restaurant is a hidden gem and shouldn't be overlooked if you are visiting the East Neuk of Fife.

Some of the best food we've had in a long time. We booked for lunch having just arrived on the sleeper from London to Edinburgh. We had the three course option - every one was delicious, full of flavour and exquisitely presented. We had sea trout, beetroot mousse, ox cheek and halibut. We didn't have dessert but I'm certain that would have been just as good. The location is fabulous and we had a table by the window looking out over the water. Perfect. (A minor point - in such a lovely, quiet location with just the sound of the seabirds, we didn't think the piped music was necessary, and in fact was a bit of a distraction). Friendly, warm and efficient service.
